In your role, you will:

•    Lead a team of Stress Engineers supporting resolution of Engineering-related non-conformities on aircraft assemblies manufactured at Queretaro site.
•    Plan, oversee, coordinate, and prioritize activities of a team of Stress Engineers to achieve department quality, schedule, and budget objectives.
•    Provide technical leadership to all team members to accomplish Program requirements.
•    Define individual goals and expected results for employees aligned with company objectives.
•    Ensure all Bombardier Material Review Board (MRB) requirements are met, including Internal/DAO Audits and Partners/ Suppliers MRB review.
•    Supervise preparation of formal compliance documents to fulfill certification requirements.
•    Apply Bombardier Operational Excellence and other methodologies to implement and improve business processes, enhance customer satisfaction, and meet strategic goals.
•    Ensure effective management of all tasks related to Structures, Systems Installations, and Integration by closely working with other Engineering departments, internal and external customers, and Major Partners/Suppliers. 
•    Work closely with the Program Stress DADs, Core DAD, and DAO to continuously develop skills of team members through coaching, employee training and development, ongoing assessment, and feedback with the objective to build and sustain an environment that supports cooperation, employee engagement and trust.
•    Provide visibility on the execution, issues, and escalations, as needed, to your immediate supervisor.
•    Maintaining technical knowledge and awareness of developments related to Airframe/Systems structures. 
•    Supporting manpower planning activities and budget preparation.
 

As our ideal candidate

•    You hold Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
•    You have a minimum of 11 years of experience in Airframe Primary/Secondary Structural Design including Systems Installations.
•    You have strong understanding of Airframe configuration optimization, loads, stress analysis, materials, manufacturing processes, weight and balance, and structural in-service requirements.  
•    You have strong understanding of civil aircraft certification rules and experience in certification procedures.
•    You possess MRB work experience (preferred candidate).
•    You have experience on MSC Patran/NASTRAN, Nasgro, and Catia V5.
•    You are highly motivated with a proven ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
•    You are an energetic person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a high sense of commitment, and a willingness to accept responsibilities while acting independently.
•    You have flexible schedule to support urgent technical issues during evenings, weekends, and winter/summer shutdowns.
•    Bilingualism (English and Spanish).
